Every home has a story. Here’s a little bit of mine.
Hi, I’m Kelly.
Wife to my favorite realtor, appraiser, and contractor. Mom to three beautiful babies. Follower of Christ. Certified Public Accountant by trade. Designer by calling.
If you had asked me ten years ago what I'd be doing today, I never would have said designing homes. I spent years building a career in public accounting and corporate America, but after becoming a mom, I found myself longing for work that felt more meaningful…something that blended creativity, problem-solving, and serving people in a tangible way.
That opportunity came when my husband and I decided to take on a major addition to our own home. We were trying to fit nearly 2,000 square feet onto a lot with strict setbacks, figure out how to squeeze in a basement, and create a home that truly worked for our growing family. What felt overwhelming to everyone else felt like the world's best puzzle to me.
So I taught myself 3D rendering and began planning every inch of our renovation before a single wall came down. Watching those digital plans become the home we'd imagined was the moment everything clicked.
Soon family and friends started asking if I could help them envision their own homes. What began as creating renderings quickly became something much bigger. I realized people weren't just looking for pretty pictures; they were looking for confidence. They wanted someone to help them make hundreds of decisions, avoid expensive mistakes, and see the potential in a home they already loved.
Since then, my husband and I have completed multiple renovations and investment properties together, giving me hands-on experience that goes far beyond a computer screen.
Today, I work with homeowners, builders, contractors, and fellow designers to create thoughtful, livable spaces through detailed plans and photorealistic renderings.
I may not have taken the traditional path into design, but I believe that's one of my greatest strengths. My background as a CPA taught me to think analytically, organize complex projects, and sweat the details. Renovating our own homes taught me the realities of construction. Together, they've shaped the way I approach every project; with equal parts creativity, strategy, and practicality.
At the heart of Urbane Jane is a simple belief: Home should be your favorite place to be.
Whether you're planning a single room refresh or a whole-home renovation, my goal is to help you see what's possible, and create a home that tells your story.
